When I chose to apply to the SSDPP's Master's Program in Contemporary Development of China, I was hoping that the next year and a half in Beijing would allow me to not only learn about development studies -a topic that I had discovered during my first year as a graduate student in Ireland- and China, but also help me figure out where I wanted to go with my life. It is not that easy for a program to provide you with both a topnotch and interesting academic background on China's contemporary development while allowing you to grow as an individual, I guess, but the CDC has managed to do it. I would never go back on my decision to study at SSDPP, and I strongly recommend anyone who is interested in China, development issues, or just discovering how they can give their academic and personal life a new turn to consider this program.
